
Rise Up! Grant Program
Rise Up! 94965 Foundation is happy to review your Dr. MLK Jr. Academy grant/funding requests.
Grant requests are open to all administrators, teachers and staff. All funding decisions will be made by the Board of Directors of the Rise Up! 94965 Foundation on a rolling basis (usually quarterly). Rise Up! consults with SMCSD administration to ensure we are not funding projects that the district has budgeted funds for. Please go to Principal David Finnane first to see if district funding is available. If funds are not available, please feel free to apply.
Guidelines for grant applications:
Grant requests must directly benefit our students.
Grant requests should be clear, thoughtful and well researched.
Grant requests should demonstrate fiduciary responsibility. Carefully research and substantiate the amount of your grant request. If granted, you agree to accomplish/implement your stated goals within the limits of your grant award.
Grant requests should demonstrate follow through. If granted, you agree to accomplish/implement your stated goals within the specified time frame.
Requests regarding basic educational needs (paper, pencils, etc.), basic cleaning supplies (paper towels, Clorox wipes, etc.), maintenance service requests, or facilities improvements or schedule changes do not constitute a formal grant request and should be directed to your campus administrator.
